Lake Murray Levels Lowered For Irma Rains

South Carolina utility officials are not taking any chances with the possibility that Hurricane Irma could directly affect the region.

South Carolina Electric and Gas announced yesterday that it is lowering levels at Lake Murray over the next few days in anticipation of at least four-to-six inches of rain to come over the region as soon as Monday.

The water released will flow down the Lower Saluda River. Boaters are advised to be aware of fluctuation in levels there.
