Power officials are blaming the remnants of Hurricane Irma for knocking out electricity to over 200-thousand households and businesses in the state.
Line crews worked into the night to restore power after the storm made its way to the west of South Carolina yesterday afternoon.
The state fared a bit better than neighboring Georgia, where 465-thousand were left without power by noon yesterday because of Irma. Florida got hit the hardest, as over six-and-a-half-million people were reportedly left without power yesterday.
