(Columbia, SC) -- A Columbia woman is charged with child abuse after cops said cocaine was found in the bloodstream of an eleven-month-old.
Columbia police announced the arrest yesterday of a 31-year-old suspect. Authorities said the baby boy was taken to Palmetto Health Richland Saturday in an unconscious state.
Doctors made the troubling discovery after conducting routine tests. The boy is now in the custody of South Carolina of Social Services.
The woman was booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
