(Washington, DC) -- Nikki Haley is officially reprimanded for endorsing a South Carolina congressional candidate.
The U.S. Office of Special Counsel announced yesterday that the former South Carolina governor who is the current U.S. ambassador to the United Nations violated the Hatch Act with a tweet in June.
Haley retweeted an endorsement from President Trump for House District Five Republican candidate Ralph Norman.
Federal officials said the retweet amounted to the appearance of using her appointed cabinet position to influence an election. She will not face any disciplinary action.
