(Irmo, SC) -- Irmo police are asking parents to keep a close eye on their children after a couple of abduction attempts.
Authorities said the earliest happened last week along Friarsgate Boulevard, where a middle-school-aged boy was approached by a female driver in a red car offering a ride.
The second reported attempt happened Tuesday, when an 11-year-old boy from Cross Roads Intermediate School was also approached in a car by a female driver in a red car making the same request.
Both boys fled and told their parents. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
