(Columbia, SC) -- A drop in attendance at the state fair isn't spoiling what the outgoing organizer calls a great run.
The fair that wrapped last night in Columbia was the last for manager Gary Goodman after more than 30 years. While attendance for the 12-day event was down from last year, Goodman says the numbers picked up once the weather cooled.
Assistant Manager Nancy Smith will succeed Goodman, and she tells "The State" she hopes to continue his legacy of excellence.
