(Washington, DC) -- A South Carolina Republican is being asked to oppose the president.
The state's Chamber of Commerce last week sent a letter to Senator Tim Scott asking him to vote against Trump's nominee to run the Export-Import Bank.
The Chamber's CEO says the Ex-Im Bank is a vital tool to keep and grow manufacturing jobs in the state, but nominee Scott Garrett once tried to shut down the bank.
Senator Scott sits on the committee that will discuss Garrett's nomination tomorrow.
