Bill To Refund SCANA Customers Passes House Panel

(Columbia, SC)  --  SCANA customers are a step closer to getting almost two-billion-dollars in refunds.

A state house panel yesterday advanced a bill that would force the company to repay its customers the money it collected to build two nuclear reactors.

The project to build those reactors in Fairfield County was canceled this summer.

Related legislation that also advanced in the House yesterday calls for SCANA to stop charging customers for the project.
