Columbia Mayor Expresses Frustration Over Delays Caused By Train

(Columbia, SC)  --  Columbia residents and the mayor are sharing frustration over a recurring problem.

A train yesterday morning stopped at a crossing on Assembly Street and blocked traffic for up to an hour in Rosewood and Olympia.

While delays are common, this one was excessive, and upset residents and Mayor Steve Benjamin vented on Twitter.

Benjamin Tweeted that the delay was a shame, and he tells WIS-TV he'll have a meeting next month with the rail company and the state agency that maintains the road
