(Washington, DC) -- There's hope from one South Carolina senator that a new tax bill could be agreed to soon.
Senator Tim Scott said recently Congress is very close to getting people on the same page. He also tells "TheHill.com" there has been discussion about lowering the top income tax rate for individuals to 37 percent from the current rate of almost 40-percent.
Discussions between Senate and House negotiators will continue this afternoon.
