(West Columbia, SC) -- Hundreds of employees are reaping the benefits of the tax cut bill, but skeptics warn those benefits will be temporary.
West Columbia's Nephron Pharmaceuticals announced yesterday that because of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, non-commission employees are getting a five-percent raise. Governor Henry McMaster was at the announcement, and he told workers they ain't seen nothing yet.
The state's Democratic Party, though, tells the "Post and Courier" the tax bill might feel good today, but it will further stagnate wages and grow the deficit.
