The sale of SCANA won't mean customers are off the hook for those failed nuclear reactors.
If Virginia Dominion buys SCE-and-G's parent company, customers would owe close to three billion dollars more. That's on top of almost two billion dollars customers have paid for two nuclear reactors in Fairfield County that were never finished.
An analysis by "The State" estimates each customer would wind up paying 4-thousand dollars over the next 20 years if the sale proposed yesterday goes through.
