(Columbia, SC) -- Neighbors are claiming victory in a showdown with a restaurant chain.
Zaxby's has announced it will no longer try to open a location at Columbia's Five Points. Local residents thought the restaurant and its drive-through window were out of character for the area, and they sued to overturn the zoning board's approval.
The owner of the old Harper's building where Zaxby's was planning to open tells "The State" that Zaxby's just didn't want to be where it wasn't wanted.
