Drilling Opponents Rally At Statehouse

(Columbia, SC)  --  Republicans and Democrats are finding common ground when it comes to what happens in the water.

Members of both parties were among more than 200 who rallied yesterday in Columbia to oppose the federal government's plan to drill for oil off the coast.

Republican Congressman Mark Sanford said if oil rigs can't be seen from President Trump's Mar-A-Lago home, they shouldn't be seen from Pawleys Island.  Charleston Democratic State Rep. Robert Brown said drilling would allow a dirty industry to ruin our beaches and pollute the environment.
