Twelve Families Displaced By Fire

(Columbia, SC)  --  Dozens of people are in need of a place to live after a fire one resident describes as crazy.

The fire started yesterday morning at Columbia's Briargate Condos on Old Manor Road.  Twelve families were displaced, and there's no word on a cause.

One resident says the flames were about five feet high, and the fire chief tells 'WIS 10 News' conditions inside the building got so bad at one point, all firefighters had to evacuate.
