(Columbia, SC) -- Deciding to walk out on school is forcing some students to walk a fine line.
As part of National School Walkout Day, students today will leave their classrooms to hold a 17-minute moment of silence to honor the victims of last month's Florida school shooting.
Some schools, though, are threatening to punish students who participate.
A Sumter County school official tells 'WIS 10 News' students who don't follow parameters set by the student government and the administration could face disciplinary action.
