Five Midlands Grocery Stores Closing

(Columbia, SC)  --  The bankruptcy of a national grocer will have repercussions in South Carolina. 

Southeastern Grocers announced yesterday it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and is planning to close 19 stores in the state.  

Five of those stores are in the Midlands.  They include three Harvey's supermarkets in Columbia, a Harvey's in Newberry and a BI-LO in Barnwell.
