Airport High School Principal Resigns

(West Columbia, SC)  --  A school principal on paid leave is turning down an offer to get his job back.

Lexington School District Two announced last night that Airport High School Principal Brad Coleman will resign when his contract expires at the end of June.

He has been on paid leave since last month when Assistant Principal Dawn Diimmler was fired for apparently having sex with a 19-year-old student.

District officials say they offered Coleman a chance to resume his job as principal, but there's no word on why Coleman chose to resign instead.
