(Lexington Court, SC) -- A man is dead after a short walk to get his daily paper turned into what deputies call a brutal beating.
The unidentified Lexington resident was attacked when he went outside to get his newspaper one morning over a week ago in the Cobbs Hill Subdivision.
His wife found him suffering from broken ribs and head injuries, and yesterday, deputies announced that he died from those injuries.
No suspect has been identified, in part because the victim was never able to talk to investigators about what happened.
