SC House Votes To Support Selling Santee Cooper

(Columbia, SC)  --  The governor is applauding state lawmakers for taking what he calls a historic step to resolving the Santee Cooper issue.  

House lawmakers yesterday voted to start the process of selling the state-owned utility, and the issue now goes to the senate.  

Governor Henry McMaster yesterday praised the House for its tremendous leadership in protecting ratepayers.  He also urged the senate to pass the proposal without delay.
