(Columbia, SC) -- A recently fired Richland County official claims he is still on the job.
County Administrator Gerald Seals was surprisingly fired this week at a county council meeting, but Seals says the firing was illegal, and he's still county administrator.
Seals tells "The State" that South Carolina law calls for him to get a public hearing before he can be legally fired.
The newspaper reports state law also calls for Seals to be given the reasons for his firing in writing.
