Richland County Lawmaker Trying To Get Raises For State Workers

(Columbia, SC)  --  If a Richland County lawmaker comes through, some state workers will be getting raises.

State Senator Darrell Jackson wants to get a three-percent raise added to the state budget for government employees.  This would apply to workers who have not already been provided raises in the state budget.

Jackson tells WIS he has nothing against groups like teachers and law enforcement getting raises, but other hardworking state employees should not be left out.
