House Kills Solar Power Bill

(Columbia, SC)  --  A recent vote on solar power shows who really has the power in South Carolina.

That's what a House lawmaker said yesterday after a bill that would have expanded solar power was defeated.

The bill had passed last week, but that vote was overturned yesterday when lawmakers realized the earlier vote didn't have the two-thirds support it needed.

Charleston State Rep. Peter McCoy tells "The State" the reversal shows the influence Duke Energy and SCE-and-G have over some lawmakers.
