(Columbia, SC) -- Some corrections officers could find themselves on the wrong side of the prison bars.
Federal prosecutors announced yesterday that 14 SCDC employees are accused of taking bribes to smuggle contraband into state prisons.
The eight men and six women pleaded not guilty yesterday. The charges predate this month's deadly prison riot in Lee County that state officials blame on smuggled in cell phones.
