(Columbia, SC) -- The Richland County sheriff and Columbia Police chief notice the same problem is on the rise.
At a public safety forum yesterday in Columbia, both say they have noticed a sharp increase in the number of shootings.
Sheriff Leon Lott estimates there's a shooting almost every day, and he blames it on people being too quick to resort to violence when there's a problem.
Chief Skip Holbrook agrees, and he told the audience that while kids used to resort to fists, they now turn to guns.
