(Hodges, SC) -- An Upstate man is accused of planning to have his black neighbor lynched.
Federal prosecutors say Greenwood County 25-year-old Brandon Lecroy, who is white, tried to hire a man to burn a cross in his neighbor's yard on Nation Road in Hodges and hang the man from a tree.
The man Lecroy is accused of trying to hire two months ago, though, is really an undercover FBI agent.
Lecroy was arrested last month, and he could get ten years in prison.
