Protesters Arrested In Columbia

(Columbia, SC)  --  More than a dozen people are facing charges for bringing their protests to the street.

Sixteen members of The Poor People's Campaign were arrested yesterday in Columbia for holding a protest at Senate and Sumter streets.

They were calling for lawmakers to address poverty, racism and other social issues.

'WACH Fox' reports those arrested are charged with disobedience after police say they ignored orders to leave the area.
