John Courson Cops Plea Deal

In what his attorney called a “witch hunt”, today was scheduled to be day one of state senator John Courson’s corruption trial.

Instead, Courson has accepted a plea deal.

The senator, who been suspended from office since he was indicted last year, has resigned from office.

Courson pleaded guilty to one count of official misconduct and agreed to cooperate with the ongoing investigation into public corruption in the State House.
