(Newberry, SC) -- Some political analysts are giving the governor a win in last night's debate.
Governor Henry McMaster and John Warren met last night in Newberry ahead of next week's runoff election for the Republican nomination.
Three political scientists from USC, Winthrop University and the College of Charleston analyzed the debate for "The State," and two of them say McMaster used his sense of humor to emerge as the winner.
Winthrop's Karen Kedrowski thought Warren won, though, because he was poised, articulate and on-message.
