(Columbia, SC) -- A lightning strike is responsible for sending more than a dozen people to the hospital.
It happened yesterday afternoon at Fort Jackson where about 200 soldiers were involved in a training exercise.
None of them were hit, but 14 soldiers were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
They returned to the base last night and are expected to return to duty.
