District 20 Senate Primary Results

(Columbia, SC) -- Republicans will have one more round of voting to settle a state Senate race.

The party's nomination for District 20 in the Midlands is headed to a runoff in two weeks between Benjamin Dunn and John Holler after yesterday's primary.

Dunn beat Holler by seven percent, but Dunn failed to get the majority needed to avoid a runoff.

For the Democrats, Dick Harpootlian got more than 80-percent of the vote, which was enough for him to avoid a runoff and advance to the general election in November.
