(South Congaree, SC) -- A Lexington County man is being accused of beating a dog with a two-by-four.
South Congaree investigators say they got a hold of video showing Mark Anthony Rice threatening and striking the dog multiple times.
He allegedly did so in front of his wife and a small child. The dog survived the beating and is being cared for at the Lexington County Animal Shelter.
Rice faces a felony count for beating the dog and also second-degree criminal violence.
