(Wilmington, NC) -- Hurricane Florence could have what the National Weather Service calls a catastrophic impact on South Carolina.
The hurricane is expected to approach the coast Thursday or Friday, and it could cause a lot of damage with wind, heavy rain and storm surge.
Ahead of the storm's arrival, there's a high risk of rip currents.
