Steps Taken To Prep For Florence

(Columbia, SC) -- Hurricane Florence is getting stronger, and steps are being taken to make sure South Carolina is prepared.

The state announced yesterday that residents who live in coastal evacuation zones must get out starting at noon today.

Also, more than two dozen schools across the state and government offices are closed today.

Governor Henry McMaster says some inland schools will be used as shelters, and buses will be used to assist in evacuations, which he expects will involve a million residents.
