Flooding a Major Concern as Hurricane Florence Hits

Hurricane Florence making landfall this morning and a large amount of rain continuing to fall has flooding becoming a major concern.

A Flash Flood Warning is now in effect for many areas of South and North Carolina.

Rain fall totals can be seen by visiting NOAA.

Hurricane Florence can potentially cause extreme storm surge and flash flooding that impact rivers in the area for multiple days. This is especially worrisome as several areas are still recovering to try and get back to normal following Hurricane Matthew in 2016.
