Great Pee Dee River Flooding To Be Close To Record Level

(Undated) -- Florence is no longer a hurricane but it will continue to have an impact this week on the Pee Dee.

The rain falling in North Carolina will make its way to the area through the Great Pee Dee River.

The National Weather Service predicts water in the river will rise this week to within a foot of the record high of 50 feet.

The town manager of Cheraw in Chesterfield County tells The State about half the town's streets flooded this weekend.
