Thousands In/Around Georgetown Told To Leave Ahead Of Flooding

(Georgetown, SC) -- Emergency officials are telling thousands of people in and around Georgetown to get out before floodwaters sweep over the area.

Severe flooding is expected this week when the Pee Dee and Waccamaw rivers go over their banks.

As many as eight-thousand people could be in danger.

 Officials are expecting to see peak water levels tomorrow night, into Thursday.
