That's what Democratic challenger James Smith said last night in his opening remarks in his debate with Republican incumbent Henry McMaster.
It was the final debate between the two, and perhaps the final chance for Smith to seize momentum in a race polls show him losing by double digits.
McMaster fired back that the state is getting stronger every day, and Smith's criticism is baloney.
