(Charleston, SC) -- The search for a missing airplane is suspended.
The Coast Guard announced yesterday it was calling off the search for a Piper PA-31 that disappeared from radar last week more than a hundred miles from Charleston.
More than three thousand square miles of the Atlantic were searched over 76 hours, but there was no sign of the plane or anyone on board.
The plane was heading to the Bahamas when the pilot reported an in-flight emergency, but there's no word on what the emergency was.
