Accused Cop Killer Appears In Court

(Florence, SC) -- An accused cop killer believes his constitutional rights were violated.

Frederick Hopkins was in court yesterday for a preliminary hearing. The 74-year-old is facing charges for the shooting last month that killed a Florence police officer and Florence County deputy.

Hopkins told the judge his rights were violated because the hearing was not held within 10 days of the time he requested it, but the judge disagreed.
