(Fountain Inn, SC) -- Some creepy discoveries are responsible for the inspections of an Upstate city's sewers.
Fountain Inn Mayor Sam Lee wrote on Facebook yesterday that several red balloons were found tied to sewer drains, and he ordered police to inspect the sewer lines.
The balloons appear to have been inspired by the Stephen King book, It, about a terrorizing clown that lives in the sewer and uses red balloons as his trademark.
While it could have just been a prank, Lee writes that he wanted to make sure everyone had a safe and enjoyable Halloween.
