The Arizona Republic obtained police documents which detail the strange ordeal a Paradise Valley man went through after meeting a woman on an online dating site for people with high incomes. Police said that over the course of ten months, Jacqueline Ades sent the unidentified man over 159,000 text messages, some of which were threatening in nature.
Authorities said that Ades went on just one date with the man, who she met on Luxy, an online dating service for people who earn at least $500,000 per year. After the date, he told her he was not interested in a relationship, but Ades began to stalk him.
He called the police on her in July 2017, after discovering that she was sitting in her car in front of his house. After her initial arrest, she started sending him threatening messages. In one message she threatened to kill him if he ever tried to leave her, and in another, she told him that she would "make sushi outta ur kidneys and chopsticks outta ur hand bones."
In April 2018, the man called police on Ades after she broke into his home and took a bath while he was on vacation. She was released from jail and showed up to his job, claiming to be his wife in May. Police arrested her later that month after she failed to show up to her court hearings.
Ades is being held at Maricopa County jail. She pleaded not guilty to charges of stalking and criminal trespassing. She will remain behind bars until her trial, which is expected to begin in February.
