Sheriff Discusses Violence In 2018

(Columbia, SC) -- Richland County's sheriff is calling on parents to lead the fight against violent crime.

Sheriff Leon Lott announced yesterday that there were 35 murders in the county in 2018, and most of those arrested are age 25 or younger.

Lott says too many young people are throwing their lives away, living and dying by the gun. He also said parents have to take responsibility for their kids.
