(Washington, DC) -- Tim Scott is praising House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy for his reaction to some controversial comments.
McCarthy promised yesterday that action will be taken against Republican Congressman Steve King, who recently asked why the terms "white nationalist" and "white supremacist" were offensive.
On CBS' Face the Nation, McCarthy condemned the comments and said he will meet with King today to have a "serious conversation on his future and role in this Republican Party."
Scott yesterday tweeted his thanks to McCarthy for showing what the senator calls strong leadership.
