Columbia Official Calls For Resignations Over Apartment Deaths

(Columbia, SC) -- A Columbia official is taking steps to hold someone responsible for the deaths of two residents at an apartment complex.

District Three Councilman Moe Baddourah yesterday called for a special meeting to discuss last week's deaths at Allen Benedict Court.

A gas leak is suspected in the deaths, and Baddourah says someone must be held accountable for neglecting a number of complaints from residents.

Baddourah also calls for the city Housing Authority director to resign.
