(Columbia, SC) -- The parents of a murder victim are joining others looking to stop the violence in Columbia.
Darold Dantzler, Jr. was shot to death two weeks go on Gervais Street, and yesterday, his parents attended a public forum that included local officials, police and deputies.
One possible solution discussed was to have more of a law enforcement presence at large get-togethers, like the party at which Dantzler was shot.
Dantzler's dad tells WACH Fox now that the violence has hit home he's aware how important it is to find a solution.
