(Washington, DC) -- Lindsey Graham is working on a bill that could put him at odds with gun-rights advocates.
Senator Graham said, yesterday, he wants to give police more authority to seize guns from people believed to be dangerous to themselves or others.
The bill would give states grant money if they pass what are known as red-flag laws, which allow a judge to give police the power to seize guns proactively.
Graham tells BuzzFeedNews.com he and Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal, of Connecticut, will begin formalizing the bill next week.
