(Lexington, SC) -- The Jones family has seen enough death. That's what Timothy Jones' attorney said yesterday in his opening statement in Jones' sentencing trial in Lexington.
Jones was convicted of killing his five children in 2014, and jurors now have to choose whether to give him the death penalty or life without parole.
Jones' lawyer is asking jurors to show mercy, but prosecutors say each child's death was the result of a conscious decision that Jones made.
