New Voting Machines For South Carolina

Looks like we have new voting machines. The panel put together to evaluate and choose the state's new voting machines has chosen the Election Systems and Software ExpressVote voting system.

The machines will let you vote, then they print out a paper ballot which a computer will scan and tally your vote. The panel has been working for six months to decide on which machines to go with.

The Executive Director of the State Election Commission says the new system will, in his words, greatly enhance the security and resilience of our election process. The new machines should be up and running by January.
