(Charleston, SC) -- Education leaders are coming together to discuss concerns facing African American students in Charleston County.
An education summit was held yesterday in North Charleston. Topics included student retention, economic barriers and youth opportunities.
More than a fifth of the lowest-performing schools in the state are in Charleston County. District officials say a survey will be available online and at churches in the area to gather more input.
